Samba na Faixa

Roda de Samba

Samba na Faixa

In this project the Brazilian bar culture joins the great Melbournian brewery culture. In others words: a foreigner celebration hosted by the Foreigner Brewery. What a great match!

‘Na faixa’ is a slang that in Brazilian Portuguese means its ‘for free’ or ‘free entry‘.

‘Roda de Samba’ is a samba jam session that commonly happens in bars all around Brazil. This a special time for the sambistas, who get together to play samba and enjoy life. The samba culture is loved and celebrated around the world not only for Brazilians. Samba became a worldwide community!

This is an inclusive monthly event and takes place always on Sundays afternoon at the Foreigner Brewery in Brunswick. People from all backgrounds, ages, economic status are welcome.

Come along to sing and dance with us. It’s FREE entry :)
